Brian Scott

Harry Brian Scott, 61, passed away in Virginia Beach on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Brian was born in Norfolk, VA to George and Iris Scott. Brian was a beloved husband, son, brother, father and grandfather. He served 43 years with the Newport News Shipyard as an inspector. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding his Harley with his “Thunder Chickens”. Brian loved the ocean and was an avid fisherman. From the early age of 15 years old, he had a boat for his deep passion and love of the water. He enjoyed spending time and creating memories with his family and friends at their beach house, the “Beach Coop”. Brian was predeceased by his father, George W. Scott. He leaves behind his wife, Kelly Ann Scott; mother, Iris Scott; children, Michael Scott and Holly Croteau and her husband, Dave; stepchildren, Steve Houser, Jeff and Christina Houser, Matt and Donna-Lee Houser and Chris Houser; siblings, Deborah Scott and George Scott, Jr.; grandchildren, Alex and Henry as well as a host of other significant family members and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life starting at 7pm, Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A private interment will occur at Rosewood Memorial Park. Brian was very compassionate throughout his life for those families that lost loved ones to suicide. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be offered to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
