Allan Peterson

Virginia Beach - Allan B. “Pete” Peterson, 81, passed away on November 5, 2011. He is predeceased by his wife, Irma. He proudly served and retired from the U.S. Navy; was a member of Fleet Reserve #141 in Richmond; was a Board member of Tidewater Young American Bowling Alliance; was a lifetime member of U.S. Bowling Congress; lifetime member of Tidewater Bowling Association; inducted into the Tidewater and VA State Bowlers Halls of Fame; he also played golf with NAS Oceana Aeropines Swindlers Golf Club.

He is survived by his sons, Alfred Peterson and wife, Gail, and Mark Peterson, and wife, Wendy; a daughter, Frances Thomasson and husband, Tony; his grandchildren, Allan James Peterson and wife, Mary, Bryan Peterson and wife, Kathleen, Jessica Peterson, Jennifer Mapp, Dennis Boggs and wife, Nicole, Wayne Thomasson and wife, Denise; his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Peterson, Lauren Peterson, Jaina Peterson, Anna Boggs, Sammy Boggs, and Landon Thomasson; and a brother, Robert Peterson and wife, Kay, of San Jose, CA; and numerous other family members.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Princess Anne Memorial Park. You may offer condolences to the family at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
