Connie Louise Walker, 77, of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at her residence. She was born to her late parents, Bob and Ima Carter on August 17, 1947 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Connie graduated from LaGrange High School in 1965. She was an RN for many years, and retired from Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette. Connie loved to go fishing, traveling, and enjoyed scuba diving. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Thomas Lee Walker; children, Charlotte Allen (Keith) of Vinton and Russell Quigley (Hollie) of The Woodlands, Texas; sister, Debbie Schulte of Victoria, Texas; five grandchildren, Madalyn Allen, Christopher Allen, Daniel Allen, Bryce Quigley, and Aubrey Quigley.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents; along with her sister, Karen Carter.
A Celebration of Connie's life will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 2:00 pm, with Father Carlos Garcia officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday, beginning at 12:00 pm, Rosary at 1:30 pm led by Deacon Jesse Menard, followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00 pm.
