Alice Martha Walter, aged 100, of Vinton, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at her residence. She was born on December 12, 1922, in Deweyville, Texas, to her late parents, Abraham and Nellie Cooper. Alice had a passion for traveling the world and experiencing different cultures. She spent six years in Canada with her daughter and grandson and even had the opportunity to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Alice enjoyed watching the activities of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Alice is survived by her children, Carolyn Sue Baker and Danny Lee Walter, both of Vinton, Louisiana; twelve grandchildren, Kevin Hare, Steve Hare, Tammy Corbello, Craig Hare, Brian Coulter, Mikeal "Digger" Walter, Ryan and Regan Baker, Jana Deason, Jeremy Walter, Ashley and Derek Walter, along with twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eugene Walter, her parents, her sons Ernest Hare, Larry Hare, and Gary Walter, along with one grandson, Mark Hare.
A Celebration of Alice's life will be held at Vinton Methodist Church in Vinton, Louisiana on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Rick Watson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Sulphur, Louisiana.
