Richard Penn passed away peacefully on Nov. 15th, at the age of 88, in Glendora, California. He is survived by his three sons, Stephen, Michael, and Ryan, and his daughter Cindy. His children were a source of immense pride and joy for him, and he always cherished the time spent with them throughout their lives.
Richard was born in Palo Alto, California moving often throughout the west as a young man before his family finally settled in Southern California where he would live the rest of his life. He attended Monrovia-Arcadia-Duarte High School, graduating in 1954. Richard spent his life working in construction, where he and his brother, Michael, took over E.M. Penn Construction business from their father. Richard also enjoyed his involvement with the Glendora Tennis Association, and was a proud member of the National Guard.
Richard and his second wife, Lucretia, enjoyed their life in Victorville, California, where he lived until his passing. Richard also leaves behind his beloved brother Michael (and sister-in-law Marilyn), his ex-wife Marsha (who spent blessed time with Richard in his final days); and his daughters-in-laws Lawton, Natalie and Toni. Richard was a proud grandfather to: Maggie, Camron, Maddie, Emmeline, Ali, Elizabeth, Grayson and Lauren.
Richard’s legacy lives on through all his family and the countless lives he touched during his many years of his involvement with little league sports and other community activities. A fulfilled and impactful life indeed.
