She grew up in France, in a little town and was raised on a farm, where all of the children pitched in to make it run.

Mom loved her all of her pets who supported and loved her until their passing. One of the toughest times in her family’s life that she spoke of often was during the German occupancy of France. Her family had to live under ground, in fear of their lives because they could hear the German soldiers walking above them. She said that the best day was when they ran through the streets and exclaimed the “Americans Are Coming.” She said she did not know what the “Americans” were except that it was a good thing. She ultimately attended a nursing trade school before she met our father, Daniel Bryant Haggerty, who was in the United States Air Force serving in France. They were married on December 6, 1958. Mom was a stay at home mom until we entered high school. She worked in the hospitality business. After moving to Spring Valley Lake, in Victorville, she worked for Sterling Inn as a housekeeper for many years. Mom taught us the love of dancing, how to play card games and she loved to watch her game shows. Mom had a very good friend named Cheri, that use to always say, “I get there,” well Mom you have now gotten “there.” So this is not good-bye, but due to the decision that you made many years ago, we will see you again in heaven! We love you!
