Born on July 6, 1965, Brian was a cherished member of the Victorville community, known for his warm hospitality and dedication to serving delicious food.
Brian took over Emma Jean’s Holland Burger, a local institution founded in 1947, and continued its legacy with passion and pride. Under his stewardship, the diner became a beloved gathering spot for both locals and travelers, renowned for its hearty meals and nostalgic ambiance. Brian’s commitment to quality and service turned Emma Jean’s into more than just a restaurant; it became a home away from home for many.
Beyond his professional achievements, Brian was a devoted family man and a man of many passions. He loved off-roading, working on cars, and enjoying a cold beer. Brian cherished the time he spent hanging out with his kids, sharing adventures and creating memories. He also had a keen interest in drones and RC cars, hobbies that showcased his love for technology and his playful spirit.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Shawna, and his children, Emma, Sarah and Josh, who will miss his unwavering love and support. Brian was also a friend to many, always ready with a kind word and a helping hand.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on August 3, 2024 from 2-4pm, followed by a reception from 4-7pm at Sunset Hills Mortuary in Apple Valley, California, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory.
