     My Momma Betty Ann was truly one of the finest women I know, but as my Momma she was #1 and then some.
     Her family (entire family) was her life.  Momma loved to dance.  When we were growing up, on the weekends there was always music out in the bar-room.  Momma danced and laughed.  I believe that we had the best, happiest, and loving childhood anyone could ever dream of.
     I'll never forget, and I've thanked Momma more than a few times for this:  She started cleaning a couple houses, once we began to go to Jr. High and High School, so that we could go out and eat lunch off campus one day a week with our friends, or on weekends, if we went to hang out with friends,  we would have money.  It was for this little occasional extra fun things with friends.
     I love you so very, very much.  I miss you terribly.  We will hug again one day.  Until then, Momma, spread your Dancing Angel Wings.

     I have so many memories with Betty. Here are a few of the special
memories I have of my beautiful and beloved sister Betty.

     Betty was the oldest of nine children and I was the youngest . Being 16 years older, Betty always helped our mother to take care of the younger children, and she always made sure we were well taken care of.  

     One of my favorite memories was when Betty would drive Wanda and myself to the beach in her convertible T-Bird. We had so much fun! Also since I was close in age to my nieces and nephews (Betty's kids) Betty would include me in the fun times with her family.

     I think it was in the late 50s, Betty qualified to be on a TV show called (Queen for a Day). We were all so proud of her. She won a washer and dryer and many other gifts.  

     After I married Henry, we would pop in at Betty and Lynn's home unannounced and Betty would always fix an awesome meal and never complain. 

     As time went on Betty and I grew much closer. We spoke on the phone weekly. Betty became my prayer partner. Betty was a real prayer warrior and loved the Lord. I will miss our weekly phone calls. Betty was always there for me.

     I am so thankful that Betty is with our Lord in Heaven and no longer in Pain.  I look forward to seeing Betty again.

     Betty was an awesome example as the best big sister ever. You will never be forgotten.

   I have many fun memories, from my childhood, of going to aunt Betty and uncle Lynn’s house. They had the coolest game room. I loved playing shuffleboard and hanging out with my cousins and all the family. 
   As an adult, I appreciated the cards I would get from aunt Betty and all the prayers she would say for my family. She was always so good to call my mom and check up on us. She was such a good sister to my mom and all of her other siblings. I know she’s in Heaven with so many other loved ones but she is truly missed here. 

Hey grandma this your grandson Shane I miss you so much you don't understand we all do, and what I really miss about grandma is those head washes in the sink oh man that always felt bomb from when I was a kid to when I'm grown I still had her do it and she enjoyed giving me them as well and I'm always gonna miss her cooking her tacos too her sweets and chocolates and everything was so good but any ways grandma I love you and everything I do is gonna be for u no one is gonna tell me other wise. 

When Uncle Jim and I were in Germany when he was in the service, my Mom and Dad would go spend time with your Mom and  Lynn. I know your Mom had pictures of them at their house. ( I don’t remember what house it was).  That was special to me. My Mom passed away a year after we got back, and my Dad pass a year and 10 months after that.

As her Younger brother, I remember her kindness and generosity.  I could always approach her when I was a young boy and short on cash and ask her “Betty, can I have 4 bits or 2 bits?”  She always had money to spare with no expectations, it was her gift. 
She was also kind to her other younger brothers and sisters, frequently buying small gifts for them.
Her strength was in our Lord Jesus Christ and knowing eternal life was with Him and our loved ones.
Betty’s smile was contagious and welcoming.  I will miss my big sister and her kind and generous nature.
I know she is pain free and rejoicing with our Lord and her loved ones as He has promised.

Memories Of My Beautiful Sister
Betty was a very special person in my life.  She was always there to talk with me.  I enjoyed our late night phone calls.  We would talk about anything and everything.  We loved to laugh about some of the crazy things we did growing up in our large family.  Betty being the oldest of nine children, could tell stories about any one of us.  One story I can tell about Betty is a little funny…. We were sitting in her front room and I think she was folding clothes and the phone rang.  She answered the phone and it was the local radio station.  They drew her name for the daily question.  He said you have ten seconds to answer the question.  The question is,……. What is the tenth letter of the alphabet?  Without hesitation she said “J”.  WE were both shocked it was the right answer.  She won a years supply of RC Cola.  It was great for milk shakes all summer………… I was always so proud to call her my sister… She always kept herself looking so nice.  She was a beautiful Lady.  I will miss you Sister.
