My Uncle Vic was one of the kindest gentleman I ever met. Since I was a young boy when I first met him I was in awe of his deep love of his family, how hard he would work and yet had time to share stories and memories with his nephew. As the years passed and my grandparents aged he took on the responsibility of continuing to farm the land they had chosen for the family home. As life would evolve his brother and sisters found their own niche in the country. Some moved away yet some stayed nearby. The farm was the place that they still knew as home. After serving in the Korean Conflict, Uncle Vic worked at one of the industrial plants that developed along the gulf coast. When his Father died he managed the farm and used his good relations in town to have the land continue to provide produce for the market. When his mother died he started spending more time maintaining the buildings, raising the pigs and cattle and leasing the land to be farmed. About this time he retired from Alcoa and his sister Cecilia who had lost her husband Ruben to cancer moved into the farm house. 
Uncle Vic raised his beautiful family, operated the farm and kept it together through the passing of his Father and Mother. Today the heirs of the 6 Reyna children continue to maintain the legacy their parents built and the place we all still call home. Thank you Uncle Vic for your part in turning another page on the Reyna family story. 

To the Reyna family, sympathies for your loss.  Mr. Reyna was a great friend to my dad.  They can garden together again!  Blessings to you.

Uncle Vic, a man of deep faith and a love of family, friends and the earth. Uncle Vic carried the legacy of the Reyna family in Victoria county. Like his Father and his Father's Father before him he tilled the soil of Texas and brought forth an abundance of grain and cotton to nourish and clothe it's people. 
He was proud to be a Texas farmer, to raise cattle on the land where he was raised and to raise his beautiful family in the small town where they lived. 
Uncle Vic held together the property of the Reyna family in a time when family farms face division and loss. 
We will forever be grateful for his independent spirit, his gentle strength and the joy he brought us whenever we were together. 
God bless you and hold you Uncle Vic, and may God's mercy comfort Aunt Pauline and your beautiful children and grandchildren, and your brother John and sisters Mary, Cecelia, Susanna and Alicia.
