Rudy Michael Padilla

Rudy Michael Padilla, 57, of Victoria passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 after a sudden illness. He was born June 27, 1956, in Victoria to the late Raymond and Beatrice Quiroz Padilla. Rudy worked 32 years at Formosa Plastics as a board operator. He served proudly in the US Navy for 4 years aboard the USS Butte. He loved to fish and took pride and joy working in his front yard doing landscaping.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years Eva Salazar Padilla; children. Crystal Ortiz and husband, Aaron, Noe Perez III and wife, Judy, Steven Padilla and Rudy Lee Padilla and wife, Ashley; brother, Raymond Padilla, Jr. and wife, Katie and sister, Anna Ortiz and husband, Jerry; grandchildren Antonio Delatorre III, Julianna Perez, Aaron Ortiz, Jr., Gavin Padilla, Kira Escalona, Abram Munoz, Noe Perez IV, Steven Padilla, Jr. and Eben Padilla.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 19, 2014, from 5 to 7 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with a Rosary to follow at 7 pm.

Funeral mass will be at 9 am Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Interment with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Steven Padilla, Rudy Padilla, Noe Perez III, Aaron Ortiz, Marcus Padilla and Raymond Padilla.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Davila, John Padilla, Joe Trevino, Antonio Delatorre III, Gavin Padilla, Justin Krawietz and Patrick Patterson.
