Survivors include her husband, Jon Hooper; children, Jerheme Urban (Emily), Molly Urban Jacobson (Brent), Caleb Urban (Hope); stepchildren, Sam Hooper (Niki) and Lindsey Hooper; mother, Margaret Foreman Brownlee; three sisters, Monica Strelec (Allan), Kim Gerbino (AJ), Liz Huff (Nicky); grandchildren, Liesl, Barrett, and Luke Urban, Reece and Rhett Jacobson, Baelyn Urban, Ainsley and Sam Houston Hooper, Jr.; seven nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews; and many extended family and close friends.
Rhonda was a true lover of people, and looked to enhance the lives of all that she came in contact with. She spent this past year as a loving second grade teacher at Trinity Episcopal School, after spending twenty years teaching at Nursery Elementary. She would use her passion for teaching, cooking, gardening, pickling, horseback riding and 4-H as means to invest in so many people, and she loved every minute of it. Her radiant smile and joyful personality were fueled by her love for her savior, Jesus Christ. She would wake up every morning thankful for another "Sonrise", and she would then look to use her smile, words and deeds to brighten someone's day.
Rhonda truly lived for her family, vibrantly loved her grandkids and walked with God's blessings each day of her life.
Rhonda was preceded in death by both her father, Bobby Lee Foreman, and second father, Bill Brownlee.
Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 pm on Thursday, May 10th, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels in Victoria. Funeral service and celebration will be held at 10:30 am Friday, May 11, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Victoria, with the Rev. Barney Matocha officiating. Private family burial will follow the celebration.
Pallbearers will be Scott Dierlam, Sam Hooper, Jason Huff, Justin Huff, Brent Jacobson, Austin Strelec, Caleb Urban and Jerheme Urban. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Lee Foreman and Bill Brownlee.
