Randolph "Randy" Schrade

Randolph “Randy” Loyd Schrade, 71, of Victoria, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 in Austin, Texas. He was born in Cuero, Texas to Melvin B. and Ruby Bitterly Schrade on July 22, 1952. He met and married the love of his life Valarie Peck Schrade and to this union one child was born. Randy worked as a Pipe Fitter for Brown & Root, Union Carbide and Dow, from which he retired.

In addition to his parents Melvin B. and Ruby Bitterly Schrade, Randy is preceded in death by other extended family.

Randy is survived by his loving wife; Valarie Peck Schrade, daughter; Nancy Kern and her husband Shawn, grandchildren; Cheyenne Kern, and Kaiden Kern, sisters; Janice Urban (John), Margaret Dentler (David), brothers; Glen Schrade (Chris), Donald “Donnie” Schrade (Sue), and Michael “Mike” Schrade. In addition, Randy also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, all of whom will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 5-7 pm, followed by reciting of the rosary at 7 pm, all at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 10 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, immediately followed by interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Kristopher Fuchs, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiating.

Honoring him by serving as Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, First English Lutheran Church, or Donor’s Choice.
