Jose L Garcia

Jose L. Garcia, 56 of Victoria passed away April 29, 2012. He was born March 15, 1956 in McFaddin, Texas to the late Juan and Antonia Figueroa Garcia. Jose was very active in softball in Victoria for many years. He also enjoyed playing pool and loved his music. Jose was a retired operator at Texas Concrete and a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral.

He is survived by his wife Grace Garcia of Victoria; daughters, Nicole Garcia of Victoria and Kimberly G. Perez and husband Jeremy of Corpus Christi; sister, Delia Garcia of Victoria; brothers, Ray Garcia, Pete Garcia, David Garcia and Juan Garcia all of Victoria; 7 grandchildren, Louis J. Resendez, II, Kaitlin N. Perez, Marcus R. Resendez, Madeleine R. Perez, Elizabeth G. Briones, Lanie L. Perez and Jeremy L. Perez, Jr.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Demetria Olguin and Eloisa Martinez; brothers, Cheno Garcia, Daniel Garcia and Eddie Garcia.

A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Rosewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John DeLos Santos, Jason Garcia, John Garcia, Joe Danny Garcia, Mario Garcia, Juan “J.R.” Garcia, Bryan Martinez, Jamie Olguin.
