Jeanne Eileen Payne (née Rohan), at 62 years of age, passed away in Victoria, Texas on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024. Jeanne was born and raised in Victoria to Alton Rohan and Mabel Lemke (Neisser) on May 11th, 1962.
After high school, Jeanne went on to graduate from University of Houston -Victoria. She was a kindergarten teacher at F.W. Gross Elementary School until she opened a business, Custom Tinting and Autoglass with her husband, Stanley Payne, whom she married in 1982. Jeanne was a gregarious and kind person, who loved to travel with her family and be with her animals.
In addition to being predeceased by her father, Alton Rohan, and her stepfather, Roland Lemke, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald (Ronnie) Rohan, and by her husband, Stanley Payne. Jeanne is survived by her mother, Mabel Lemke, son, Sheldon Payne, and daughter, Hannah Payne. She is also survived by a sister, Joyce Morris (James) and children, Shanon, Kevin, and Cody, and a brother, Roy Rohan (Johanna) and children, Alayna and Alan.
In remembrance of Jeanne's life, there will be a visitation at Rosewood Funeral Home on Friday, October 18th, from 5PM - 7PM. The funeral will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 19th at 11AM.
Pallbearers include: Shanon Morris, Kevin Morris, Cody Morris, Alan Rohan, Corey Edwards, and Mitchell Payne. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
