Gloria Perez, 76, entered eternal rest on February 10, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born in Guadalupe, TX to Pablo and Maria Guadalupe Salas Gonzales. She is survived by her loving husband Richard Perez with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage. She is also survived by her daughters, Ericca Letsinger (Brek) of Victoria, Madelynn Dennis (Andrew) of Rogers, AR; sons, Kenneth Perez (Pilar) of Victoria, Andrew Perez (Cynthia) of Victoria; ten grandchildren, Jack Letsinger, Kate Letsinger, Isaac Perez, Jason Perez, Kaleb Perez, Ethan Perez, Mary Dennis, Lucy Dennis, Joseph Dennis and Simon Dennis; sisters, Dolores Jones (Ralph) of Houston, Janie Cavazos (Ralph) of Victoria; brothers, Jerry Gonzales of Victoria, Edward Gonzales (Letty) of Victoria.
Gloria had a strong faith and prayed the rosary everyday. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She also had other hobbies, including sewing, quilting and playing games. She was known for her nopalitos, enchiladas, menudo and Thanksgiving dressing. Richard and Gloria never missed an opportunity to watch any of their grandchildren do what they love. The two of them never missed a dance recital and always looked forward to going to their grandsons’ baseball games. They started traveling to visit wherever Maddy and her family were living and enjoyed sightseeing in many states.
Gloria worked as a medical assistant for Dr. Oscar Zuniga for 39 years and then at Victoria ENT before her retirement.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; sister Minnie Buitron; brother Paul Gonzales, Jr.; sister in law Aurelia Gonzales; and grandchildren Lauren and Jacob Perez.
Visitation on Saturday, February 24 with the family begins at 8:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with a rosary to be prayed at 8:30 followed by a funeral mass at 9:00. Internment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
