Frank H. Fojtik, 80, of Victoria, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 in Victoria. He was born in Hallettsville, Texas on August 24, 1944 to Frank J. and Hermina Repka Fojtik. He attended St. Joseph School in Victoria, TX. He then served in the United States Army National Guard.
Frank worked as a Diesel Mechanic for many years working on large diesel equipment and tractors throughout Victoria and the surrounding area. He was an active member in many local Bass fishing clubs and a devout member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He was known for his tender and tasty BBQ and enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and visiting casinos.
In addition to his parents, Frank J. and Hermina Repka Fojtik, he is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Fojtik and sister, Mary Ann Koliba.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; Catherine “Cathy” Vahalik Fojtik, son and daughter-in-law; Christopher and Tonia Fojtik of Victoria, TX, daughter and son-in-law; Michelle and Bryan Haynes of Luling, TX, two grandchildren; Cole Fojtik of Victoria, TX and Madison Haynes of Luling, TX and two step-grandchildren; Landon and Bethany Haynes of Luling, TX. Frank also leaves behind numerous extended family and friends, all of whom will cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 5-7 pm, followed by reciting of the Rosary at 7 pm, all at Colonial Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Entombment will follow a Resurrection Mausoleum. Father Kristopher Fuchs will officiate.
Honoring him by serving as Pallbearers will be: Matthew Vahalik, Kevin Koeing, Landon Haynes, Nicholas Vahalik, Jonathan Vahalik, and Ron Luster.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Nazareth Academy Convent Fund.
