Frances Gaona

Frances Gaona, 77, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024. She was born April 15, 1946 in Robstown, Texas to the late Eustaquio and Santos Deases. In January 1969, Frances met her husband, Robert Gaona and they married August 15, 1970. They were happily married for 49 years. She retired from Gordon Jeweler's and enjoyed her retirement by traveling with Robert and spending time with her grandkids. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will forever be missed.

She is survived by her children, Robert Anthony Gaona (Veronica) and Natalie Gaona (Nikki); grandchildren, Nicholas Gaona, Haley Gaona, Joseph Gaona, and Riley Rodriguez; sisters, Elida Alaniz and Mary Peralez; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gaona; parents, Eustaquio and Santos Deases; brother, Joe Deases; and sister, Susie Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 5-7PM, with rosary beginning at 7PM at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 9am at Our Lady of Sorrows, with burial following at Resurrection Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Anthony Gaona, Nicholas Gaona, Joseph Gaona, Eric Gaona, Anthony Adames and Jeff Gaona. Honorary pallbearers are Braxton Mayfield, Macki Perez, Derrick Gaona and Chayse Cisneros.
