Diane worked for Alkek Grocery for many years before their closing. Diane loved playing bingo, going to the casinos, and just spending time with the people she loved. Diane had a heart of gold that will never be replaced, and she will be missed beyond words can even describe.
She is survived by her daughter Becky Ann Vargas; sons Paul Edward Vargas and wife Joanna; Fidel Vargas Jr. and wife Michelle; Ray Albert Vargas and wife Jasmin, And her sisters Pauline Reyna, Teresa Flores; brother Jose Cordova Jr; her grandson Jacob Silgero and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with her Longtime Friend of 37 Years Lynette Jackson.
Diane was preceded in death by her father Jose Cordova Sr and her mother Tomasa Garza Cordova.
A visitation for Diane will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, 3304 Mockingbird Lane, Victoria, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 208 W. River, Victoria, TX.
Diane will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Flores, George Cisneros, Joshua Jimenez, Richard Cordova, Larry Cordova, Jared Alexander, J. C. Haney, J. R. Villarreal and Derius Vargas.
