Cynthia Denise Barfield, 67, of Fannin, passed away on June 4, 2019 in Victoria. Cynthia was born in Houston, TX to Edward and Jewel Strong on January 27, 1952. She married Bennie Barfield in Houston, TX. She was an active volunteer for organizations in her community including the Goliad Historical Commission, American Cancer Society and Goliad Pet Adoption. She was also an active member in her church, Fannin United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Cynthia is survived by her husband; her daughter, Alana Barfield; and sister, Myra Suzanne Heard.
A memorial service will be held at the Fannin United Methodist Church at 11AM on Saturday, June 15, 2019, with Minister Eileen Foley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Goliad Pet Adoption.
