Christine A. Slavin

She is preceded in death by her parents; bothers Leonard, Richard, Joe and Pete Kolonko; sister Julia Friesenhahn; and her beloved husband Frank J Slavin. She is survived by her daughter Peggy Chumchal (Michael), granddaughters Molly Volek (Jeff) and Katie Gaus (Darron), her great grandchildren Hudson and Berkley; numerous nieces and nephews.

Christine worked as a book keeper for the Victoria Advocate for several years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Victoria, TX. She loved cooking and baking; no one left her home hungry and she always had cookies or other sweet treats readily available. She also enjoyed working in her yard, making it look the best in the neighborhood, as well as embroidering, genealogy, and crocheting. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her friends and family, especially summers with her granddaughters. She always had a list of summer plans made for when her granddaughters would spend countless summers at her house.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 12:00 to 1:15 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, followed by graveside service at 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
