Carl F. Baumgartner Jr.

Carl F. "Bunky" Baumgartner Jr. 88, of Victoria, passed away July 8, 2017. He was born November 2, 1928 in Corpus Christi to the late Carl Sr. and Audrey Power Baumgartner. His Great Great Grandfather was James Power. He grew up and went to School at Vidauri and Refugio. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. Horses, being a marksman and photographer were some of his interests. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren selflessly and whole heartedly. Most of all he was humble and kind.

He is survived by his children, Llano and Lynda Baumgartner of Blanco, Audrey Sherrill of Georgetown, Lisa and David Mansfield of Schroeder, Amanda Riedel of Victoria, C.F. "Fritz" and Trenda Baumgartner of Inez, Carol and Eddie McGee of Harlingen, Jill and Doug Mannel of Seguin; 18 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Sr. and Audrey Power Baumgartner.

A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will follow at 2 pm at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Refugio.

Pallbearers will be Henry Valenzuela, Lloyd Cisneros, Monte Salyer, Eddie McGee, David Mansfield and Doug Mannel. Honorary Pallbearers are Daddy's 18 Grandchildren.
