Bobbie Anne Stanley Munford, age 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at her home in Victoria. She was born to Adrian D. and Geraldine Lummas Stanley in Magnolia, Arkansas on April 10, 1942.
Bobbie Ann was married to Dr. Arthur Munford on May 30, 1964 at First Baptist Church in Ganado. She and Arthur were friends and soul mates for over 60 years.
Bobbie’s life was centered on faith, family and friends. She was active in Baptist churches in several cities over the 26 years of their Air Force journey. Moving to Victoria after his retirement, she became active at First Baptist and Parkway. In addition, she was a member of the Guadalupe Victoria Chapter, DAR.
A 1960 graduate of Ganado High School, Bobbie was a member of the band, head majorette and a proven winner in the new tennis program. She attended Wharton County Junior College and was captain of the Starlette Drill team, a member of Beta Sigma Phi and selected college sweetheart in 1962.
Bobbie is survived by her husband, Dr. Arthur Gary Munford; daughter, Laura Kaye Packard; sons, Gary Wayne Munford and Jason Scott Munford (Tracy). She had six grandchildren: Brianna Kaye and Joshua David Packard, Brooke Ashley and Jordyn Ranae Munford and Jacob Arthur and Emma Marie Munford.
There are other extended family members to include sisters-in-law, Linda Harris (Denis), Becky Egert (Dana) and two nieces and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Charles F. Smith; brothers, Billy Clyde and Jerry Douglas Stanley.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 29, 2019, 6-8 p.m. at Rosewood Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Parkway Church with Pastors Rick Dubroc, Mike Hurt, Kim Simmons and Scott Weatherford officiating. Burial will follow at Ganado Cemetery.
