What things of beauty did she treasure most? The love of family, good friends and Our Lord.
She married the love of her life, William Mayo Allen in Kingsville Texas on March 5, 1955. Kingsville would forever be her home. After her husband retired, she soon followed by retiring from the State Bank of Kingsville and Mayo lured her to Victoria.
She was devoted to her husband and loved her three children. She showed her love by cooking and baking for family and friends. Baking cookies became her stress reducing therapy. She loved afternoon coffee with neighbors, laughing and telling jokes, sitting on the back porch, Trinity Lutheran Church, singing church hymns, playing dominos and spades, and she was a solitaire champion in her eighties!
