This is our first Christmas apart. Although my job required us to be apart occasionally for Christmas we would always phone and e-mail or thoughts of Love for each other. 
  I truly miss you my darling wife, Merry Christmas.

Susan was always so happy and offering of a "Good morning!" hug at work.  She was a bright light and I cherished her tender heart.  Rest in peace Susan.

Susan,My daughter-in-law,a most fantastic young lady, that I will miss a lot .Her cheerful smile and good humor. We just loved it when the came up for C'mas.

Auntie Susan. A visit to Victoria will never be the same again. My kids still talk about Cadboro Bay and Beacon Hill park. I too will miss our visits. From Holly, the kids and myself, we love you auntie and will miss you.

I will miss Susan greatly, she was my friend and my sister. I was lucky enough to spend a week with her in March. We enjoyed each other's company, cried, laughed and made memories. It was very hard to leave knowing it might be goodbye. I am so grateful we had that time. She will never be forgotten. Love always Deb

I was very fortunate to have spent Spring break with my Auntie this March. We went to parks, beaches and even had our nails done together. 

I will miss my Auntie very much. 
She was so positive and full of fight right to the end and I will always admire her strength.

I wish we had more time together.

I am so sorry to hear of Susan's passing.  My sincere condolences to Alan and Susan's family, I know she will be missed.
When Susan spoke of Alan and/or her family, her love for them was obvious.  Her eyes would shine brightly and her voice would soften.

I was sadden to hear of Susan's passing.  She was taken too soon.  I feel privileged to have know her, she was such a positive person and a joy to be around. Our hearts go out to her husband Alan, her mom Phyllis and her brother Darrell.  Michael, Mark and Jodie have also lost the worlds greatest Auntie.  She will remain forever in your hearts.

This picture of Susan is perfect - she always saw the humour in life and had the best smile! I have the honour of being her 1st-year roommate at UVic in 1976 - 1977, and have some great stories - including the time she slept through her 1st year psychology exam because she had pulled an "all-nighter" to study!

I know Susan loved her family, and nieces and nephews were very dear to her.  When she met Alan, I asked her how they met and why she picked him, and she said that when she spoke to him her first thought was, "this is a voice that I could listen to a for the rest of my life" - and, indeed, Alan does have a voice made for radio.

Susan, thank you for being my first-year roomie, for keeping in touch for 37 years, and mostly, for just being you.   Alan, my heart goes out to you.
