Ronald Erwin Peterson

Ronald Erwin Peterson, was born on March 14, 1955. Ron passed away peacefully on December 15, 2020 in his own home after a valiant showdown with lung cancer and emphysema. Ron leaves to grieve his soulmate Heather, sister Connie Peterson, nephew Miles Peterson, cousins Ralph Pfizenmaier, Doreen Letham (Phil), and extended family and cousins. Ron is predeceased by parents Russel and Margaret Peterson. Grandparents Miles Peterson, Ann Larson, Erwin and Julianne Schroeder. Aunts and Uncles, Ebehard and Edith Pfizenmaier, David and Shirley Schroeder and Ingrid Schroeder.

Ron was born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta. Ron met his soulmate Heather in 1987, they married in 1989, and moved to Victoria, BC in 1992 where they presently call home. Over the years Ron has had several careers such as graphic artist, interior house painter, and building resident manager. He retired in 2016. Ron was passionate about reading, building models, history, loved long the walks along Dallas Road along the ocean and their annual road trips.

Ron was decked out in his best western wear; black jeans, teal shirt and white cowboy hat, ready to start his next journey. Ron will be remembered fondly and missed by all who knew him.

Heather would like to thank the exemplary care of Dr. Alec Walton, the palliative response team, home care supports, the Red Cross, Spiritual Care of Pastor Peter Shurvin, and heartfelt gratitude to family, friends, and everyone who checked in and continues to check, all is greatly appreciated.

At the request of Ron there will be no service. He will be cremated, and his ashes spread by family.
