Sackville, N.B. on May 19, 1921. He is predeceased by his wives Bernice (1972), Sybil (1983),
Geraldine (2000), his sons, Don {1990}, and Rod {1998). He is survived by his loving wife, Veronica,
his daughter Brenda (Gary) sisters Evelyn (Don) and Elizabeth and his granddaughters Holly and
Rebecca. He will be deeply missed by many other relatives and friends. Ron was a navigator, flying
Lancasters, with 408 Squadron during World War 11. He served in the RCAF from 1943 to his
retirement as a Wing Commander in 1973. He then spent 5 years as General Manager of the RCAF
Association in Ottawa and later owned Unique Decor Unlimited in Clayton, Ontario. He moved to
Victoria in 2001 and met Veronica. They had 15 good years together, travelled extensively
worldwide and enjoyed life to the full.
At Ron's request, a private cremation and interment has been arranged. A celebration of Ron's life
will be arranged at a later date. The family wish to thank the staff at the Lodge at Broadmead for
the excellent loving care given to Ron and his family during his stay at the Lodge. Donations in his
memory may be made to the Air Force Association.
