Dad’s beloved for good reason. The heart and soul of any hooley, his stories, quips and comebacks were hilarious - at times legendary. Dad's intellectual curiosity never waned even when his memory faltered, and he stuck to his belief in standing up for a just society and doing good in the world. He wasn't afraid of a fight - yet, as a Dad and a friend, he was sweet-natured, encouraging and loving.
No doubt there's much rejoicing star-side as he joins the rest of my family there - his one-and-only love, my Mom, Sally (McKarris), his first-born daughter, my sister, Kathleen, and his adorable, furry sidekick, doggo, Katie. He leaves just me, his youngest, Maureen, and he's missed and loved by me more than I can express.
