Ted was born in Prince Rupert, BC. He then moved to Port Alberni where he graduated Grade 12 and started his job at the post office as a mail carrier. He decided to leave his mail carrier job to begin working at the Alberni Pulp and Paper Mill, it was during this time he also got his millwright A Ticket. He married his wife Mary Jean and they continued their adventure by moving to Victoria, BC where Ted attended Camosun College where he achieved his Grade 13. Following this, he left Vancouver Island to head to Burnaby where he attended BCIT where he majored in electrical and circuit design. Soon after they made their way back to Victoria where Ted went to work in the electrical department of B.C Forest Products as well as attending night school to earn his contractor C.B.A ticket. When Ted retired he moved to Parksville and Qualicum where he built 4 houses before moving back to Victoria.
Ted was a man with a young soul and a vibrant personality. He had a passion for adventure- especially in his retired years, he was one to just get up and go because he felt like it. He had a passion for flying- something he did many times over the years with his Nephew. He had a passion for fishing having spent many days on the water with his Wife. Most of all Ted had a passion for his family- his Grand Children, two girls and one boy, had a special place in his heart. His Wife Mary Jean, somebody who shared his passion for adventure and seeing what they could experience next, was Ted’s world. Ted also leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law. May he rest in peace and continue on with his next adventure.
