Deb was such a bright light and adventurous spirit. A good friend gone far too soon.

I will never forget visting you in Hay River where the horseflies were the size of mini helicopters. The California poppies grew wild out of you sidewalk and I still cant get one to grow.. You always had a smile on your face.  I didnt realize the extent of your adventursome spirit but I can definitely can believe you accomplished what you set out to do. 
Our deepest sympathy to all the family. Remember memories help when shared with others.

We have only known Deb since Rus joined CASARA in Innisfail but we had a great connection.  She loved everyone and never said no to an adventure. I will miss her on ‘Words with friends’.  And Rus will miss her at CASARA, skiing and motor biking. Rest In Peace sweet friend. We miss you. 

I was so sorry to hear of Deb's passing. I   went to the same school   as her. She was a Kind person. She will be missed by all who knew her R.I.P in peace Deb!

To everyone in the Switzer family. I’m so sorry for your loss. Deb was so much fun. She was such a bright light that sparkled wherever she went. I’m so devastated with her loss. Not even close to how you are feeling, but know that she touched so many lives over her years on this earth. My heart is broken.

Deb was a kind, gentle and thoughtful soul, even growing up with her through elementary and junior high school. 
Following her journey this last while and the amount and depth of friends staying in touch showed she maintained that personality her entire life. 

Thank you to her family for sharing that journey with us. 

We are all a bit less with Debs passing. 

I was so shocked to hear of Deb's passing. Deb was a design student of mine in the Print Management Technology program at SAIT, Class of 1998. We kept in touch after she graduated. I will miss her photos and messages. My sincere condolence to Deb's family.
May she rest in peace.

One is never ready to let go of someone so important in your life. Sibling are the closest friends in the world and it’s been heartbreaking knowing I’ll never hear her voice or  giggle again. I was selfish and didn’t want her to leave but she is free of pain. I’ll see you Debbie on the flip side I know. She’s wrapped in mom, dad, Russ and Donna’s arms. 


We are sad to hear of Deb's passing, didn't know she was a pilot,  huge accomplishment. My memories of Deb are playing cards and having a blast at the family get togethers, way back when. Our thoughts are with you Craig and family. I still remember her laugh.

I've known Deb since she was at least 3 years old. At the time we thought of her as the little Sister you didn't want to tag along.
And then she grew up to be this wonderful, honest ,caring person.
When Deb and Craig lived in Airdrie we visited them. Then life happened. And we reconnected in 2016. We met each other in Las Vegas. And us being adventure seekers. We went on the Roller Coaster at the New York New York.  Met for dinner. And the next day she was off to camp the Grand Canyon.  But as it happens we met at the Hoover Dam. It wasn't planned it just happened. 
Then in 2017  I was in Red Deer.  I called her and we went for lunch. She took me back to her office and introduced me to her Coworkers. 
In 2019 just after Deb moved to Victoria. I visited her and met April, Minh and the boys. Every second day It was Debs turn to go to the school and pick up the boys and make supper. The whole family made me feel very welcome. We tooled around Victoria in her old car she had. And we had plenty of memories taking the water Taxi's across the Harbor. 
I  always said to Deb,you never let the grass grow under your feet. Because she was always exploring new beaches and the beautiful paths. I couldn't keep up to her.
She had a zest for exploring and a Bucket list that wasn't finished yet. I always enjoyed living through Debs vacation photos. 
When she was packing to leave the Palliative care she called me. And straight away she said. Heather if you cry I'm hanging up. 
She was so excited that April was coming to get her.  She told me that when she passed. She might run into Tom Petty. We both laughed. And I said say Hi to Freddie Mercury for me. 
In closing I just want to say. We both loved each other very much. And said so to each other. 
I will truly miss you Little Sis. You have left a huge hole in my heart.

Its a shame that we lose such a good person like Deb way too soon ,Debbie was my friends little sister and I liked her alot she was gentle and kind to everyone  a truly enlightened soul ,she was a fun person who lived and enjoyed life to its fullest .we will all miss you Deb 💔💔💔

A woman, always on the Go!

The 1st time I invited Deb and Craig over for dinner with my husband Brian and myself in our home in airdrie was so funny. She wouldn’t eat anything I made! I had just known her for a short time too!  Shrimp! I was so shocked when she was on her sailing trip and was eating fish all the time! I teased her all the time about her picky eating . Sitting around a fire, laughing, talking about ourselves, having a couple drinks- I’m sure going to miss her. My condolences to the family. She was an awesome person and had some great adventures. And she made great cookies!! I miss you Deb ❤️

Deb was a wonderful friend with a huge heart. We shared many laughs and adventures together including sky diving and zip lining. She will always be remembered with a big smile on her face. 

My condolences to Deb's family and loved ones. She will truly be missed.

Debbie loved to play scrabble with her dad. We did notice though that instead of using “Webster’s” dictionary she preferred to use her own which we affectionately called “Debster’s”.

I knew Deb from my daughter Emma, who was a work colleague and friend. I know that they enjoyed each other's company and friendship.
Deb has now joined Emma and I'm sure that they are having fun together again.
I'm sorry that this had to happen to both of you.
You are both missed so much.
