There are no words to express how we are shocked and saddened by Rae’s sudden passing.

The  loss of someone so dear to us is never easy.  Our heart goes out to you and your family in this time of sorrow.

We all shared very special moments together, from aerobics classes to figure skating, wonderful moments in Tremblant and so much more.  We will cherish these memories forever.  She was a very dedicated, loving and caring human being.

I’m so sorry to hear of Rae's passing and will miss the Celebration of Life as I’m currently in New Zealand. Rae helped me plan this trip and I  have been thinking of her often. I know she loved it here. Her energy and enthusiasm for life was infectious.  She was a positive member of the book club and I had many rounds of golf with her. I will miss her very much.

Gabi and I are devastated by this. Rae taught with us at Champlain College in St. Lambert. She became one of my best friends and was one of the St. Lambert girls’ get-togethers for parties. lunches out, ski trips, shopping, and Grey cup and Super bowl celebrations. 
 Such a wonderful, thoughtful friend. Giving you tearful hugs from afar.

Rae and I shared an office together in the physical education department at Champlain College for 10 years.  We had a lot of fun, every day, all the time. She taught me (at 50) and my daughter Elizabeth (at 5) how to skate. I still have the poem she wrote for me when I left Champlain. She was a cornerstone of the Saint Lambert community and was missed when she moved out west. 

It was a shock to learn of her sudden passing. May all your wonderful memories of her sustain you through this difficult time.

I don’t have a specific memory of Rae Jensen, I just remember her in many positive and formative parts of my youth. At the skating rink when I started figure skating she was always there, supporting Jana, Kelly and Cathy. When I started high school, she became Cathy’s mom to me.  I was on all the chambly county sports teams along side Cathy , and Rae was always there to encourage us at Volley Ball and field hockey. I am pretty sure she helped build field hockey community outside of school at Logan Park. When I wasn’t playing sports with Cathy, I spent so much time at the Jensens house in Preville and just like at the skating rink, the volley ball courts or as a teacher at Champlain, she was consistently a positive force. I just remember her always smiling. The type of fun, athletic and supportive mom I knew I would one day aspire to be. Lots of love to the entire Jensen family.

My heart goes out to Rae's whole family - Rae was such an amazing, sweet & supportive coach and teacher of mine back in the day at RVRHS.... her kindness will never be forgotten. xxx Rest in peace Rae

We in Quebec missed Rae and Brian when they retired out west.  But they really enjoyed the active, outdoor BC lifestyle while always staying in touch with us by e-mails and coffee-time visits.  Rae was a great friend and we have many wonderful memories of times together.  Love & courage to Rae’s family.

She was always smiling and friendly and smart as a whip - always in the top 3 in her class. She was an athelete all her life and could outrun most of the boys. I was so sorry to hear of Rae's passing.  I worked with her at RVR and we both grew up in Saint-Bruno.  She was always pleasant and calm in a crisis.  I remember her students being very fond of her as a teacher.

Rae skiing Monday dec 2, 2024. What a lovely photo, sun, fluffy clouds, white snow but most importantly our cherished friend. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss. Rae was one of the most positive, fun loving women I have ever met.  Her family and husband were her most precious treasures. We will miss her terribly. Love to all the family.

Hope everyone can read upside down!  I was lucky to have coffee with Rae just before she went on her holiday.  This wonderful birthday card arrived in the mail.  I love dancing and so she sent me this delightful card.  Which I will cherish.  Our first meeting all those years ago at illiceliewat outdoor hiking camp.  She was hiker extraordinaire!

I am so happy to have met up with Rae recently in Saint Lambert when she was here for her grandchildren's competition (also volunteering, "so her"). So incredibly sad. From the time our family immigrated to Canada and landed in Saint Bruno,  to now some 60 years later, the Moore family has been an integral part of our history. 

Rae’s sudden passing leaves a void that is now being flooded with fond memories from those days so long ago.  She was a light in so many lives and will be deeply missed. RIP Rae.

My deepest condolences on the passing of your mom. I remember your mom fondly from my days as a student at Champlain College.  I took several of  her dance classes. Your mom was an excellent teacher, very patient  and she encouraged us, whether we had previous dance experience or not, to reach our highest potential.  May your memories of your mom bring you comfort at this sad time.

To all the family of Rae and Brian, I send my heartfelt condolences. After more than 40 years, I recently met up with Rae and Brian for a quick visit over a cup of coffee on their way to catch the ferry. It was just like old times. I only wish we had a little more time to catch up and share a few more stories of our families. I hope Andrew will be piping a wee tune in honour of Rae. Maybe "Morning Has Broken", the tune that was played at Rae's marriage to Brian. I am with you all in spirit. Please keep in touch. My love to all.
