Hazel was born in Keoma, Alberta, and was a longtime resident of Calgary prior to her retirement to Vernon in 1973.
She was predeceased by a son, Darrell; and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Lester (Peggy) of Vernon; daughter-in-law, Mona, of Salmon Arm; and daughter, Laverne Francis (Nick) of Vernon. She is survived by 8 grandchildren: Dawn (Terry), Brent, Marcy, Lori (Allan), Lia (Rob), Drew, Daralee (Gus) and Lisa (Heath) and 12 great grandchildren and numerous extended family members.
A Celebration of Hazel’s life will be held on Saturday, March 19, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vernon Funeral Home, with Mr. Brian Jackson officiating. A reception will follow at the Elk’s Hall.
