Ruth Meinen

She graduated as a nurse in 1952 from the University of California Medical in San Francisco with a R.N., a P.H.N certificate and a BS degree. Ruth received a R.M. certificate in N.E. India, where she served ten years as a medical missionary. She had been the nurse four summers at 1000 Pines Baptist Camp as “Bugs” R.N. Ruth spent fifteen years working at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, in Oxnard, retiring in 1988. She always had a smile and by the giving of her dedicated service Ruth brought a loving uplifting spirit to many.

Ruth is survived by her brother, Keith Meinen, of Los Angeles; and is remembered by numerous friends.

Last words, “I have tried to live my life for Jesus and be helpful to others. Be glad, not sad for me, for I now see my Lord face to face.”

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, 1:00 pm, at Ventura Missionary Church, 500 High Point Drive, Ventura.
