David Munro

David was born on June 11, 1980 in Twin Falls, Idaho, and grew up in Santa Barbara. He has resided between Santa Barbara and Ventura over the past several years. David graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1998. He was an accomplished artist, and was successful in the many endeavors he pursued. David spent the last three years as a devoted father to his three and half year old son, Max whom he considered his life’s greatest blessing. They shared a special bond, never to be broken.

David was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Ruth Hoskins in 2007. He is survived by his son, Max; mother, Deborah Munro; Max’s mother, Erica Schubring; aunt, Dana Sigler; cousins, Jennifer McMurray Garcia (Guillermo) and Michael Sigler all of Ventura; grandfather, Daniel Munro of Gardena, CA; as well as many cherished friends in Santa Barbara and Ventura.

David had a deep love for his family and true friends. He touched their lives with his kindness and compassion. David was particularly cherished for his quick wit and humor. He will always be in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, please remember David with a memorial contribution to the Max Ryder Munro Educational Fund, c/o Citibank, 1011 South Victoria Ave., Ventura, 93003.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, 3:00 P.M., at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, with The Reverend Jim Duran officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home and Crematory.
