Brenda Sawyer “Mom”, began her journey to heaven last Friday, December 16, 2011. She left us at the young age of 49 due to a lengthy case of pneumonia. Brenda was born and raised in Ventura and was a graduate of Buena High School, Class of ‘80. She had a huge heart, her arms were always wide open and she constantly strived to put a smile on everyone’s face. Her life’s dream was to open a home for all “her kids” so that none of them would have to struggle anymore. Although she didn’t achieve this specifically, her door was always open and in this way she saved a lot of lives.
Brenda is survived by her daughter Kellie Richards, her mother, Betty Sawyer; twin sisters, Vicki Sawyer and Valerie Mets; brother Mike Sawyer.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 22nd, 2:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M. at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura. Services will be held at a later date.
