Goldie Schwartz was born in Chehalis, WA on July 19, 1947 passed away on August 26, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Millard and Mable Wadley, her sister Shirley (Ken) Reeve, and her brother Jim (Betty) Wadley.
Goldie is survived by her husband Donald Schwartz Sr.; her sister Elvira Catlin; her children Shirley Schwartz, Donald (Shamalee) Schwartz Jr., and Rebecca (John) Webber: her grandchildren Stuart Cranfill, William Schwartz, Zachary Reeves, Elizabeth Gephart, and Caleb Gephart; and her great-grandchildren Odin Cranfill, Freyja Schwartz, and Caspen Schwartz; and many nieces, nephews, and loving in-laws.
Goldie and Don met while she was in college and he was in the U.S. Army, and they were married in 1966. After living in Pennsylvania for a short time, they relocated to Vancouver and raised their family. Goldie loved God and loved her family, committing her life to demonstrate that love. Though she shied away from the spotlight, she was always there for the people she cared about. She was full of compassion for family, friends, and strangers. She loved to knit and donated many items to Salvation Army and other outreaches to help people stay warm during the winter. She loved to read, write poetry, care for animals, and spend time with her family.
