It is with sadness that we announce the death of Roy Pyper on Monday, October 19, 2015 at the age of 82, of COPD. Roy was predeceased by his Scottish immigrant parents who settled in Winnipeg, James and Margaret Pyper, and his two brothers, Lawrence "Butch" and James. He is survived by his wife, Florence "Frocia", and his sister, Cecilia, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Roy began his long successful career in the HVAC industry with the Powers Regulator Company Ltd. in Winnipeg and was transferred to manage the Vancouver Branch in 1963. In1970, he founded Canadian Aqualine Products Ltd., where he remained until his retirement. Roy also founded Aqualine Industries Ltd. and purchased Pump Engineering & Maintenance in the early 1970's. Roy became a life member of ASHRAE and the National Rifle Association and was a long time member of the Richmond Rod & Gun Club and Custer Sportsmen's Club.
Roy loved to travel and during his retirement years visited friends and places in North America and Europe, and spent time in his Vancouver, Winnipeg and Miami Beach homes until 2013. Roy will be greatly missed by many special friends. As requested, there will be no service.
