Kenneth King Yip Lee, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2013 at the age of 79 with family by his side. He was predeceased by his wife Faye Wai Hing of 56 years in 2012. He and his unconditional love and support will be dearly missed by his daughters Wendy (Steven), Cathy (William) and Linda (Michael), sons Richard and Ronald, and grandchildren Brendan, Alexander, Stephanie, and Eric. He spent many decades offering "Service With A Smile" in the grocery business as the proprietor of Cardero Grocery, Happy Shoppers Supermarket, and produce businesses at Surrey Public Market. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, travelling, practising Tai Chi, and gardening. He came to Canada in 1949 and had a long-time connection with the Lee's Benevolent Association of Canada as its "Member #3." His gentle disposition, patience and kindness will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
A Funeral service for family and friends will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, 1835 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
