Ashley Leia Peterson

Ashley passed away in her home in Vancouver on October 9, 2022. She will be mourned and forever loved by her parents, David and Deanne (nee Harris) Peterson, her brother, Jeremy and his wife Emily. It is so sad that she will not be here to see her two little nieces as they grow up.

Ashley was born and raised in Oliver, BC. She excelled academically and went on to UBC in Vancouver to receive degrees in Pharmacy and Nursing. She worked in Vancouver for many years as a psychiatric Nurse. She was an excellent nurse who displayed compassion and empathy for her patients.

Ashley loved to dance, and she enjoyed taking classes in all forms of it. She was also an adventurous traveler, and she travelled independently to many parts of the world, including Africa, the Middle East, Kazakhstan, India, Peru, and Southeast Asia.

Ashley battled severe clinical depression for well over a decade and eventually succumbed to the severity of her illness.

Our only solace is that now her struggles are over, and she can rest in peace. We will choose to remember the joyous times in her life, her adventurous spirit, and the beautiful daughter she was.

The family will be commemorating her loss privately, and she will be cherished in our hearts forever.
