Our beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away suddenly on July 14, 2021. She will be dearly missed by all of her family, friends, and associated parties and communities that she belonged to.
Angela Fung Yee Lam was born on February 28, 1954 in Hong Kong to parents Michael and Theresa Lam. There she attended Maryknoll Sisters School until graduation, where she then travelled to Wisconsin to pursue her University degree. After a couple of years, Angela relocated to Vancouver, where she finished off her studies at UBC and met her first husband, Wing Chow. Together, they had a son, Christopher, whom she loved and cared for very much.
Later on in her life, Angela would meet her new love, Cecil Fung, where she would be blessed to welcome Christa, Kris, Anika, Cassia, Brianne and Isaiah as family. During this new chapter of her life came lots of fond memories, such as multiple trips to Port Alberni and Disneyland. Angela was a social butterfly, and genuinely enjoyed people’s company and being around all of her friends and family. She had a big heart and made sure everyone surrounding her was always taken care of.
Angela was an avid community member. Her involvement included being a charter member of the Vancouver Pacific Lions Club, and long-time member of the Chiu Chow Benevolent Association, Chinese Freemasons Society, and Golden Age Court.
One of Angela’s proudest and happiest moments was when her grandson, Liam, was born. During her spare time, she would cook delicious meals for Liam and made an effort to see him every day. Liam will grow up knowing he had such a loving grandmother/ mama and will never forget her.
Angela will be remembered most for her big heart and smile. We will forever cherish all of the great memories she gave us.
