Kevin Ray Tipton

Kevin Ray Tipton, 53, of Mountainburg, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Fort Smith. He was born December 27, 1968 in Conway. He was an assistant principal, a football coach, and a math teacher for the Van Buren High School; and had coached at Booneville High School. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruthie (Philpott) Simmons.

He is survived by his wife Carla Tipton of the home; a daughter, Cass Tipton and wife Pam of Muldrow; two sons, Dalton Tipton and wife Rosita of Mountainburg, and Cole Tipton and wife Heather of Mountainburg; his father, Rick Tipton of Van Buren; three brothers, Eddie Tipton and wife Chrisie of Cedarville, Ricky Tipton and wife Andrea of Van Buren, and Howard Simmons and wife April of Van Buren; his mother-in-law, Pauline Abshere of Van Buren; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
