Joann Ray, 71, of Alma, AR, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in a local hospital. She was born December 7, 1939 in Bentonville, AR. She was a retired assembly line worker at Rheem Manufacturing in Fort Smith and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Alma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kirksey Ray.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Loftin of Fort Smith, AR and Betty Yarbrough of Lorton, VA; a son, Larry Ricketts of Van Buren, AR; a brother, Richard Henson of Pea Ridge, AR; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 26, 2011 at Southside Baptist Church in Alma with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be John Loftin, Travis Black, Daniel King and Sonja Everitt.
The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR
