Jerry Don White, 68, of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 in Fort Smith. He was born March 25, 1947 in Augusta, AR to the late Clarence and Grace White. He was a mechanic, a member of the Alma Church of Christ, and a supporter of our military. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Joann Clark, Shirley White, Mary Carter, and Margaret White; three brothers, Wayne White, Clarence White, Jr., and Frank White; and three grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn White of the home; four daughters, Rose Lowman of Alma, Ruth Langley of Van Buren, Ruby Gierach of Rogers, and Evelyn Mitchael of Augusta; a son, Richard Taylor of Alma; two sisters, May Waggle of Searcy, and Connie Darby of Pope, MS; a brother, Wilburdean White of Augusta; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Pope Cemetery in the Graphic Community, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Langley, Gabriel Langley, Richard Taylor, Daniel Lewis, Robert Householder, Felix Castillo, Brian Lawrence and Matthew Collins.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2015, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
