Extending condolences to all of Ivan’s family. Ivan was a high school friend back in Afton, Iowa - a good friend and good athlete.  Ardella was a year behind us and a very nice person. I had not seen either since our high school days, but was blessed to have  had a telephone conversation with him last year. I also remember Rosemary and her husband Eddie, who was a classmate and friend during earlier school years. 

Hoping  Ivan and Ardella’s daughters know that we’re certainly people back in Afton with great memories of both of them.

I always liked Uncle Ivan. He had spunk! So thankful that Kadin and I got to make two trips to Branson to spend time with him and Aunt Ardella. Kadin was also quite fond of his great uncle.

I was fortunate to meet Ivan serving on the Surveyor Advisory Board.  He demonstrated great knowledge and leadership in the field of Surveying.  He will be greatly missed.  I am sending my sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy.  Wishing you peace, comfort, courage and lots of love at this time.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Monica, Andy and family, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad.  My prayers go out to you all. I will not be able to be there with you all due to my recent surgeries but I will be there with you in my thoughts and in my heart. 

John & I send our love to you, Heather & to your family. We are so glad we got to know your Dad when we stayed with you awhile at the hospital when your Mom had her surgery. We made an instant friend! We certainly see where you got your outgoing personality!
We will especially be praying for you & your family Thursday night during the visitation & Friday during the funeral. And we’re asking God to just flood your mind with many precious memories of your Dad in the days ahead.

Friend and Colleague

I was truly saddened to learn of Ivan's passing. He was my good friend and a well-respected professional. He and I served on the Arkansas Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors for 20 years together. During that time, I came to appreciate how dedicated he was and how much extra effort he put into successfully performing the duties of this Board, both at the state and national levels. He was a true professional, well informed, and reliable. He made my life better as I am sure he did for his family and others also. Thank you, Ivan. I will miss you.

It is with great sadness that I just now learned of Ivan's passing.  He and I shared many experiences as we served in the surveying/engineering/floodplain management communities together, including Board of Licensure trips to NCEES conferences in distant cities across the nation.  We communicated in sharing professional needs, and he was always reliable, well-informed, and an astute man....a dedicated and reliable mentor in everything he shared.  Losing Ivan puts a giant void in the collective wisdom of the several professions we served!

Ivan was a true friend, a mentor and a true professional.  He was my driving force in becoming the Southern Zone Vice President.  He wanted this so badly and was never able to get it. I will greatly miss him.  I am truly thankful I was able to spend as much time with him as I did. Two very special memories. At an EPS meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Ivan and I ate the two largest lobsters the restaurant had. For many years members teased he and I about that. The second was the trip to the Virgin Islands.  My wife, Bea and I got to know Tammy and Monica on our day long trip to St. John Island. This was truly special, because Ivan loved his girls so much. I regret I never got to meet his wife or Heather.  Yet he never missed an opportunity to praise them as well. May God continue to bless his girls and I know he will be watching over them.

Ivan was my friend and brother-in-law for 48 years.  The 4 of us spent  vacations herding buffalos in Yellowstone, climbing on cliff dwellings in New Mexico, car races in Arizona and Colorado, viewing millions of aspen leaves in Colorado and many, many vacations in Branson listening to bluegrass.

Ivan will be missed by his kids,grandkids and many friends.  He was kind and always smiling.  He made sure his kids and grandkids had a good time.  He rode rides that most of us wouldn't just to please his grands. He was always known for knowing just when Vivi had cookies made and ready to eat. He and Max enjoyed searching for lost items at times. We will  all miss him as well as Ardella is missed .We can all take comfort in  knowing they are surrounded by pure love now. Prayers for all.
