Edward Lee Rice, 76, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024. He was born August 13, 1947 in Furlong, CA to the late James and Magdalena (Klein) Rice. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was the plant manager and international wood buyer for Jack-Post Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Rice of the home; three sons, Jason Rice of Madison, MS, Eric Rice of Van Buren, and David Rice of Detroit; a sister, Mary Theresa Brooks of Shawnee, OK; and four brothers, John, Joe, and Tony Rice, all of Van Buren, and Jim Rice of Oklahoma City; and ten grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. Ashes will be placed at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
