Dr. Christopher Shawn Graham

Dr. Christopher Shawn Graham, 39, of Fort Smith, entered into heavenly peace on March 4, 2016 due to a heart attack. He was born June 21, 1976 to parents Cindy and the late Jimmy Graham. He was of the Christian faith.

After graduating from Van Buren High School, he attended Westark Community College, married his soulmate, Dr. Julie Clemmons-Graham, and went on to attend Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis, where at the young age of 23, he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic. He and his wife then returned to the area and opened Back To Health Chiropractic Clinic. Several years later in 2005 they were blessed with their beautiful daughter, Laynee.

Chris was the type of man who put his family first and never went a day without reminding them of how much he loved them. He also cared very deeply for his friends and patients, whom he made feel more like family. His family is proud of the man that he became and the accomplishments that he achieved. His kind heart and infectious personality will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clinton and Francis Graham, and JoAnn Kovalck; his father, Jimmy Graham, and father-in-law, Tom Clemmons.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his three ladies; wife, Dr. Julie Clemmons-Graham; daughter, Laynee Alese Graham, and sweet dog, Weezy; mother and stepfather, Cindy and Joseph Clotfelter; mother-in-law, Betty Clemmons; sisters, Crystal Stacy and husband Curtis, and Casey Hess and husband Jordan; brother-in-law, Tommy Clemmons and wife Jennifer; nephews, Kaleb Coble, and Jude Jennings; grandfather, Pete Kovalck; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral service is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Harold Steed, Jr., Kaleb Coble, Jermey Harrison, Scott Kovalck, Steven Kovalck, and Tommy Clemmons.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
