Denver Grissom

Denver, age 90 was born in Clay County, Ark., and passed away on Feb. 1, 2014. He was a resident of Ontario, Ca. for over 43 years. Denver was the 6th of 13 children born to Luther Simpson Grissom and Mary Alice (Verble). His surviving family includes his wife Frances (Warren) Grissom, daughter Patricia (husband Wayne) Carls, son Garry Grissom (wife Deborah), four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and seven surviving siblings. He worked in asphalt construction for nearly 30 years and was a loyal member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life by gathering at 11:00AM on Friday Feb. 7th at the Stone Funeral Home in Upland, Ca., with private interment at Bellevue Cemetery in Ontario later that day. We honor Denver's long life and cherish the many wonderful memories we had with this kind and gentle man. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in memory of Denver Grissom to the City of Hope –Parkinson's Research (1055 Wilshire Blvd., #1200, Los Angeles, Ca. 90017).
