     My fondest memories of Debbie are when we would get together during birthday parties when the kids were young.  She loved having people come to her house and her kindness and cheerfulness always made me feel like family.  
     I'm going to really miss her Christmas cards because she always took the time to write about her family and how proud she is of her husband, children and grandchildren.

I will always cherish for life the wonderful memories I've made spending time with the Debra and the family. They've always been so near & dear to my heart. 

The most wonderful memory I have is quite a simple one, yet, so cherished. One night after sleeping over at the house, we awoke to a wonderful smell & burning eyes. We came out to the kitchen to find Debra meticulously chopping veggies for homemade salsa, which I had never had before. I was so fond of it that when my dad passed, I asked if she could bring some to his funeral. It was quite the hit & is something we still talk about to this day. Now it is your time, to have salsa in the sky. Love you Debra. I will never forget you.

To my family, 
   It saddens me still that you are gone. I remember the moment I was told, I just remember sitting there & instantly feeling my heart sank. I came into this family not too long ago, about 8-9months now. Though the time I had with mom (Debra), I cherish, because I am glad she and I still made an impact in each others lives. 
   I remember I sat with her for about 2-3hrs or so as she told me her life story, where she grew up, told me about her siblings and family. Also how each of her kids where born, and all the situation she and Dad (Carlos) would go through. 
   In the time I had with her, and the small moments I did, I was glad to have made her last birthday a good one, and being there to celebrate it with her, the gift I had given her, how her face lit up and smiled that smile that everyone has come to love was across her face as she hugged me. 
  I truly did love her like she was my mom, in the time I had with her, that she approved of me of dating her son, Nathan. I am thankful I had at leas that time to show her that I am not leaving her family any time soon. I could ramble on but, all in all, thank you and I love you so much, Mom. You can finally rest and not have to hurt anymore...RIP. 




Dear Barba Family, my heartfelt condolences goes out to your entire family. To uplift your spirits, heart and soul in song and in prayer. I would like to dedicate: The "Wind Beneath my Wings" to you all on behalf of your beautiful Mother Debra …And I pray that our Heavenly Father, his son Jesus and his guardian Angels, continues to watch over Debra throughout eternity until each and everyone of you guys meet again. Embrace her memories and share them with family and friends...by telling your childhood and Adulthood stories, that will keep everyone laughing about the “Good Times” (as a way to comfort and ease the pain for one another), which will also keep her smiling down upon us all from Heaven. What I will personally missed about my BFF Debra the most ….is her holiday greeting and birthday cards that she has sent me over two and a half decades without ceasing from California to Idaho. Please Remember.... that Debra has transitioned from this Life to Real Life! And Heaven is Rejoicing with her in it! A message to Debra….Fly High My Loving BFF SiStar Debra with your Heavenly Wings as God guide you and land you softly to Rest through his Pearly Gates of Heaven into Paradise. Your presence on earth will be greatly missed….To my Dearest BFF Debra…As your Homecoming prayer…I dedicated (Matthew 6:9-13). Until we Embrace each other again! 🙏🕊️🙏 Rest Pretty Lady! LuWanna
