1945, to Modesto and Margarita Navarro, Carmen was the eighth of nine children raised in Upland, where she resided for 80 years. She was a devout Catholic and lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph's in Upland which shaped her life and love for family.
A Upland High School graduate, Carmen met her soulmate, Joe Limon, at age 14. They married two years later, sharing a devoted partnership until Joe’s passing in 2022, two weeks shy of their 61st wedding anniversary. Together, they raised four sons: Joseph Anthony (d. 2013), Edward Mark (d. 2015), Richard Charles of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and Michael Gabriel of Palm Desert, CA.
Carmen dedicated over 35 years to the medical field, her compassion touching countless lives. She was predeceased by her husband Joe, her parents Modesto and Margarita Navarro, brothers Tony, Ruben and Bobby Navarro, sisters Margaret Navarro, Rosie Velasquez, Rachel Pacheco, Linda Navarro and Beatrice Padilla, sons Joseph and Edward, daughter-in-law Patricia, grandsons Jonathan Rovira and Edward Jr. She is survived by her sons Richard (Sophia) and Michael (Brina); thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister Francis Franklin of Murrieta, CA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, in Upland, on Monday May 5th, 2025 with a rosary at 9:30am and mass at 10:00am. A private interment ceremony will follow on May 6th, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Church in Upland, CA are appreciated. Carmen’s legacy of faith, love, family and service will endure forever.
