Shirley Barham Harp

Shirley lived a life full of peace, love, faith, and joy. She was a loving, kind, and thoughtful person, who was beautiful both inside and out.

Shirley was a proud member of Universal City United Methodist Church since 1967. She continued to be a devoted parishioner of the church, even after her stroke in 2014. Members of the church would write to her encouraging verses and send her copies of church bulletins. She was always remembered at church holiday events with small gifts and handmade cards from the children of the church. Shirley greatly appreciated her church's faithfulness to her and continuing to remember her when she could not be there physically.

Richard and I are grateful to her church family and Esplanade Gardens for the loving care and comfort they gave her. She was ever so happy and felt as though she was surrounded by love. We will miss mom very much!

A celebration of life for Shirley will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Universal City United Methodist Church, 90 Winn Ave., Universal City, TX 78148.
