Robert James Doerr

Robert (Bobby) James Doerr, 70, passed away December 7, 2016 at Northeast Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Bobby was born on October 25, 1946 in San Antonio to Lucille and Charlie Doerr. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and attended San Antonio College. He served in the U. S. Army and had a long career with Southwestern Bell/AT&T. Bobby enjoyed a life-long pursuit of drag racing. He modified and drove his own race cars.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Charlie Doerr and by his brother, William. He is survived by his siblings: Diana Ridd and husband, John (Sun Lakes, AZ); Charlie Doerr, III and wife, Sharon (San Antonio, TX); Patricia Hewitt and husband, Tom (San Antonio, TX) and Jeanette Graham (Houston, TX). Bobby is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A graveside service will be held for Bobby at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 11:15am.
